Carey Mulligan has a new look! She traded in her signature haircut for an edgy, ear – length micro – bob.
Long before Leslie Bibb won our hearts with her “c*unty little bob” in The White Lotus, Carey Mulligan was already a big fan of the bob. The British actress has always loved the classic blunt bob. For years, her blonde hair has been sleek, stylish, and cut perfectly to her jawline. However, just as Bibb made the bob gain public attention again, Mulligan decided to give up her classic look and try something more edgy.
On March 27, Mulligan appeared on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! With the help of hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, she sported a slightly shorter micro – bob. She styled her ultra – short hair in a wet look, tucking it behind her ears with a deep side part. A few twisted sections on the side of her face added depth and texture to the look.
Mulligan wore a one – shoulder black Bottega Veneta top, paired with black trousers and a pair of minimalist gold hoops, which matched her new haircut well. When she went outside, she threw a ruffled black blazer over her shoulders. During her appearance on the talk show, Mulligan talked about her relationship with her husband Marcus Mumford from Mumford & Sons. She admitted that Mumford had only watched “some” of her films, but she said she often listened to his music before it was released. “I get this thing where I hear the demo and become obsessed with it. Then he starts changing things and I’m not happy,” she said, adding, “He’s a bit more cautious now when playing music for me.”
The couple have three children: Evelyn, who is 8, Wilfred, who is 5, and a third child born in 2023, whose name hasn’t been made public yet.
