Lalisa Manobal, also known as Lisa from Blackpink, has unveiled a bold new look, debuting a “mushroom blond” hair color during the first night of Coachella. The new hue marks a dramatic change from the warm chestnut brown she wore during the premiere of The White Lotus.
Lisa’s colorist, Jacob Schwartz, shared the details of the transformation. He explained that the singer’s new look blends warm shades of brown with cool blond tones to create a soft mink bronde. To achieve the color, Schwartz used a combination of Schwarzkopf Professional’s Igora Vibrance Demi-Permanent Tone on Tone Hair Color and Igora Vario Blond.
The “mushroom blond” trend has been gaining popularity for its unique mix of beige, blond, and light brown shades. Unlike brighter blond hues that require heavy bleaching, this softer, cooler tone offers a more natural look. One of the key benefits of mushroom blond is that it allows for longer gaps between salon visits without the dreaded brassiness that often accompanies lighter colors.
At Coachella, Lisa, alongside her bandmate Jennie, performed solo for the first time, marking a new chapter for Blackpink. The singer’s Coachella look was completed by makeup artist Haemin Commune, who created a matte-grey smoky eye paired with subtle glitter eyeliner at the corners of Lisa’s eyes. Nail artist Juan Alvear also added to the futuristic vibe with sharp claw nails, crafted using Aprés Nail products.
Lisa’s beauty choices have long been ahead of the trends, and with her mushroom-blond debut, we can expect this cool-toned shade to become a popular summer look in 2025.
