Jennifer Lopez has revealed a new hairstyle for spring—one that might be linked to her upcoming film. In a recent Instagram reel, the multi-hyphenate star showed off long, feathered curtain bangs. She wore her new haircut in a half-up, half-down style that highlighted the soft, face-framing layers.
The video appears to have been filmed on the set of Lopez’s upcoming Netflix romantic comedy, Office Romance. It opens with producer Courtney Baxter and crew member Analyssa Marquez speaking directly to the camera. Marquez asks, “Hey, can you watch our boss for a second?” Baxter then places the phone in front of Lopez, who looks slightly puzzled before greeting viewers with a simple, “Hi.”
Lopez captioned the clip with, “Hi… #OfficeRomance.” Earlier, she had posted photos from a script read-through of the film, writing, “This is gonna be a fun one.”
The curtain bangs represent a noticeable change from Lopez’s recent hairstyles. At the 2024 Grammys, she wore her hair long and sleek, parted down the middle. Not long after, she was seen with her hair pulled into a high ponytail while wearing a bold pink fur coat.
Though she has been favoring long layers lately, Lopez is no stranger to curtain bangs. In 2017, she sported a similar style. More recently, she brought back the look last November, wearing a low messy bun with loose bangs for Thanksgiving.
Now, the curtain bangs are making a comeback—and they’re right on trend. Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton recently said that curtain bangs are becoming a major trend for 2025. “If you’re looking for a low-maintenance commitment at your next appointment, these wispy bangs are a great option,” he said.
Whether it’s for her new role or just a seasonal change, Lopez’s latest hairstyle adds a fresh twist to her ever-evolving style.
