On the red carpet, the actress wore her jet-black hair in voluminous curls with a center part. What stood out the most was the visible silver at her roots, which softly framed her face and highlighted her natural beauty.
Hayek paired the elegant hairstyle with a black maxi dress featuring a turtleneck and sheer, flowing sleeves. She completed her look with chunky gold bangles and a large, flower-shaped necklace.
The Breakthrough Prize Awards, known for honoring major achievements in science, drew several Hollywood stars. Among the attendees were Kate Hudson, Lizzo, Katy Perry, Rob Lowe, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Hayek, who is married to French fashion mogul François-Henri Pinault, shared a photo from the event on Instagram. In the caption, she expressed her appreciation for sitting next to Professor Huda Zoghbi, a former Breakthrough Prize recipient and renowned neuroscientist at Baylor College of Medicine.
“A night celebrating the brilliant minds in science that are reshaping our future… I was honored to participate,” Hayek wrote. She also noted her pride in sharing a connection with Zoghbi, who, like Hayek, has Lebanese roots.
This is not the first time Hayek has embraced her gray hair. She first debuted the look at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. In fact, the actress has spoken openly about aging and beauty. In a 2020 Instagram post, she referred to her grays as “the white hair of wisdom.” She also shared a lighthearted beauty tip in the same post, telling fans not to wear glasses on top of their heads to avoid highlighting silver strands.
Hayek has admitted to occasionally using mascara to hide her grays, especially when she’s too busy to dye her hair. In August, she posted a photo from a yacht, wearing a bright yellow bikini and letting her salt-and-pepper hair shine in the sun.
