Renowned hairstylist Eugene Souleiman took attendees on a mesmerizing journey through the evolution of hair at Vogue World: Paris. Showcasing iconic looks from different eras, Souleiman’s creations were a testament to the ever-changing nature of hair trends.

Partnering with Bumble & Bumble’s haircare products and Dyson’s innovative hair tools, Souleiman recreated classic hairstyles with a modern twist. From victory rolls and coiffed waves of the ’50s to graphic bobs and equestrian-inspired ponytails, each look was a work of art.

One standout look was inspired by Louise Brooks’s sharp, blunt, round bob from the 1920s, while another paid homage to Greta Garbo’s hairstyle from the film The Blue Angel in the 1930s. The ’50s were represented by ponytails in the colors of the French flag and victory rolls, emblematic of the time.

Moving into the ’60s, Souleiman adorned models’ heads with around 200 silver hair clips, creating a look reminiscent of armor. The ’70s look nodded to Studio 54 and iconic model Pat Cleveland, while the ’80s embraced power dressing with hair to match, inspired by Cindy Crawford and Donna Summer.

Finally, the ’90s minimalism was highlighted with shiny hair and definite partings, with Bantu knots created on Black models. Souleiman’s journey through the decades showcased not only his incredible talent but also the timeless allure of classic hairstyles.
