Rita Ora’s hairstyle evolution continues, as the singer swaps her bold blonde mullet for a more classic, long brunette look just in time for New Year’s Eve.
Earlier this month, Ora made waves with a striking blonde mullet paired with a menswear-inspired outfit. However, with 2025 on the horizon, it seems Ora was ready for yet another dramatic change. In the blink of an eye, the mullet was gone, replaced by long, flowing brunette hair that perfectly channels a “princess hair” vibe.
Ora debuted her new look today as she made her way to the Times Square Ball in preparation for co-hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Her new style features long, layered brown hair parted in the center, styled silky smooth and straight. Considering that just weeks ago she was rocking a mullet, it’s safe to speculate that this transformation could be thanks to a wig or a set of luxurious hair extensions.
For the occasion, Ora paired her new ‘do with a bold red and black checked coat from Antonio Marras’s Fall 2024 collection. The long, oversized coat featured black shearling fur sleeves and sparkly black floral embellishments. She completed the look with a black turtleneck, chunky black buckled boots, and black earrings.
Ora, known for her love of hair experimentation, has spoken openly about her ever-changing styles. “I’ve always loved changing my hair up and coloring it—my biggest inspiration growing up was Gwen Stefani, and I wanted her iconic bleached hair,” she shared with the Evening Standard earlier this year.
In addition to her style evolution, Ora recently launched a hair growth line, Typebea, after struggling with hair loss. “I’ve been in the industry for almost a decade now, and my hair has been through it all—heat styling, color changes, cuts, extensions, you name it,” she explained. “And it eventually got to a point where I was like, ‘Wow, I have hardly any hair left!’”
From mullet to princess locks, Rita Ora’s hair journey continues to captivate.
