Hina Khan’s journey through breast cancer has been an inspiring one. The actress has bravely shared her experiences, from the challenges of dealing with the physical effects of treatment to her decision to shave her head as she fought stage 3 breast cancer.
After months of wearing a shaved head, Hina made a triumphant return to the spotlight with her natural hair on Saturday at the OTTplay Awards 2025 in Mumbai. She proudly showed off a chic bob haircut that reflected both her inner strength and outer elegance.
For the event, Hina looked stunning in a black and gold shimmery dress, effortlessly combining grace with resilience. A fan page shared a video of her debut appearance with her real hair on Instagram, where her confident smile said it all.
Hina had first shaved her head in August 2024, as the emotional toll of losing her hair became overwhelming. In an Instagram video, she explained why she chose to shave it off: “You can win this only if you embrace it, accept it, and I choose to accept my battle scars. I believe embracing yourself brings you closer to healing.”
She also shared her feelings about the process of losing her hair, saying, “It’s very stressful and depressing. I don’t want to go through that anymore.”
Hina’s message of strength and resilience was clear, as she added, “It’s time to BUZZ it off. Let’s normalize the hardest phase of this journey. Our strength is our patience and calm. If we set our minds to it, nothing is unattainable.”
The actress first revealed her cancer diagnosis in June 2024 via an emotional Instagram post.
On the professional side, Hina’s latest project was the Punjabi film Shinda Shinda No Papa, where she starred alongside Gippy Grewal.
