Kym Herjavec, the pro dancer known for her appearances on Dancing With the Stars, surprised her followers with a daring new look on March 11, 2025. The 48-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to show off her bold transformation.
In a candid video, Herjavec shared, “So, I just chopped all my hair off.” She added with a laugh, “I’ve gone darker, and chopped it off. It looked great when the hairdresser did it. It was like, dead straight and really cool.”
Herjavec, known for her long, wavy locks, explained that her hair is naturally curly. “My hair’s naturally really curly, so I just blow-dried it, and this is what we’ve got!” she said, showing off her new chin-length cut, which she described as “strikingly elegant.”
Herjavec’s new look didn’t go unnoticed as she attended an Easter show with her 6-year-old twins, Hudson and Haven. She posted a cheerful Instagram photo with the caption, “Easter show, here we go!” The new hairstyle was tucked neatly under a hat for the outing.
Herjavec, originally from Sydney, gained fame as a professional dancer on the Australian version of Dancing With the Stars before joining the U.S. show, where she spent 10 years. In a March 8, 2024 interview with Parade, the two-time DWTS champion shared why she left the show in 2017. “My hamstrings are messed up, and I wanted to leave when I did,” she said.
Despite her decision to move on, Herjavec expressed gratitude for her time on the show. “Dancing With the Stars has been amazing to me,” she said, adding that it gave her the opportunity to meet her husband, Robert, and start her family.
In a post shared on March 28, 2025, Herjavec revealed she’s working on an exciting new project with her former DWTS costar, Gilles Marini. The two are collaborating on a film, which Herjavec teased on Instagram, tagging director Marco Deufemia, known for his Christmas films.
Marini also posted about the project, revealing it’s being filmed in Canada. He shared a video from the snowy location, marking his birthday in the chilly environment.
On April 1, 2025, Herjavec updated her followers on Facebook, writing, “Made a movie with friends @carsonkressley @gillesmarini,” and expressed her excitement to share more about the project soon.
