In a light-hearted revelation from Hollywood’s A-list, Brad Pitt and George Clooney have finally put to rest their playful ‘mullet war,’ discussing who wore the iconic ’80s hairstyle with more flair.

The debate, which has intrigued fans for years, was rekindled in a recent joint interview for GQ. The two stars, who sported voluminous mullets during the same era, humorously dissected their past hair choices.

Brad Pitt, now 60, confidently claimed that he wore the mullet ‘better’ than Clooney. “I would say one of the greatest that ever existed,” Pitt asserted, only to be playfully interrupted by Clooney.

“Was my mullet or your mullet?” Clooney asked, adding to the banter. Pitt, unabashedly, maintained, “I’m going to say mine.”

Clooney, reflecting on the shared experience, acknowledged that while he might argue in favor of his own hairstyle, he appreciated both their contributions to the mullet trend.

The actors first joined forces in the 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven, and their camaraderie continued through sequels Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007). Their collaboration extended to Pitt’s cameo in Clooney’s 2002 directorial debut, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and a role in the Coen Brothers’ Burn After Reading (2008). The duo also starred in a live YouTube performance of Dustin Lance Black’s play 8 in 2012, alongside a notable cast including Kevin Bacon and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Their latest project, Wolves, features them as rival professional fixers whose lives intersect unexpectedly. The film, which had a notable bidding war for distribution rights, was ultimately acquired by Apple TV+. In a strategic move, both actors agreed to a pay cut to secure a theatrical release alongside its Apple TV+ debut.

“Apple came in with a really big number for Brad and me,” Clooney noted, referencing the competitive bidding process. “We said we’d like to take less as long as we can guarantee a theatrical release, and they agreed.”

Directed by Jon Watts, known for his work on the Spider-Man films and the thriller Cop Car, Wolves has garnered attention not only for its star-studded cast but also for its unique production strategy.
