On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce couldn’t help but compare his thinning hair to his brother Travis’ voluminous locks, leading to some lighthearted banter between the two NFL stars.
The brothers began by discussing their hairstyles, with Jason admitting to some hairline insecurity. “You’ve got a little suave going right now,” Travis complimented his older brother. However, Jason quickly deflected, turning the compliment back to Travis. “No, you’re the suave,” he insisted, urging Travis to remove his hat and show off his hair.
Travis, who had been wearing a Cincinnati Bearcats cap, briefly obliged, running his fingers through his thick, brunette hair and tossing it back. Jason couldn’t resist teasing, saying, “Oooh, look at that hair!” But then, turning the conversation to his own hair struggles, he said, “I can’t believe you haven’t started balding.”
Jason confessed that he had been noticing his own hair thinning, revealing, “I’m balding, Travis. I’m getting thin up there.” Travis, confused, reassured him, “What? We’re Kelces,” implying the family had good hair genes. But Jason wasn’t convinced, tilting his head down to show his brother the thinning area. “It’s going thin right through the middle,” Jason said.
Travis, ever the optimist, assured him it was just a widow’s peak and that Jason was “good up top.” Jason, not so sure, admitted, “I don’t do anything. I just wake up,” adding with a laugh, “I don’t do s—t to my hair.”
Travis, the more fashion-conscious of the two, has long been known for his stylish appearance, including his ever-evolving haircuts. His recent longer hairstyle, inspired in part by girlfriend Taylor Swift, has become a topic of conversation among fans, some even joking that Travis “invented” the fade hairstyle, a claim he’s humorously denied.
